Free tool · partial check
Can I run Drawquarium?
The official minimum is Windows 10 64-bit, 8 GB RAM, a GTX 1060 / RX 580-class GPU and 700 MB of storage. Your browser can verify some of that. It cannot verify the most important part — the graphics card — so this tool tells you where to look instead of pretending to know.
Browser compatibility check
Can this PC run Drawquarium?
This reads only what your browser exposes. It cannot see your graphics card model reliably, so it gives a partial answer — never a guarantee.
Press “Run the check” to inspect this browser’s reported operating system, memory and CPU core count.
Official listed minimum
- OS
- Windows 10 64-bit
- CPU
- i5-8400 / Ryzen 5 1600
- RAM
- 8 GB
- GPU
- GTX 1060 / RX 580 (6 GB)
- DirectX
- 12
- Storage
- 700 MB
A “pass” means your browser reports enough for the listed requirement, not that the game will hit a particular frame rate. The final check is the free demo on your own machine.
Find your real GPU in 30 seconds
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
- Open the Performance tab and select GPU on the left.
- The name in the top-right corner is your actual graphics processor. On laptops, you may see two GPUs; the discrete one is the relevant one for gaming.
- Compare it with the listed GTX 1060 6 GB or RX 580. A different model is not automatically worse or better; use a benchmark database if you need a rough comparison.
You can also run dxdiag from the Start menu and check the Display tab for the GPU and the DirectX
version. That is the same information the game’s launcher will see.
What this check cannot tell you
- Real frame rate. A browser cannot benchmark a 3D game.
- Driver stability. Crashes and stutter depend on drivers and the specific build.
- Wallpaper Mode cost. An animated desktop is a continuous workload, not a short session.
- Storage. Browsers cannot read free disk space without permission prompts that most people should not grant.
- DirectX 12. The browser has no reliable way to report the installed DirectX feature level.
Laptop-specific gotchas
A laptop GPU with a familiar name may be a lower-power version. A “GTX 1060 laptop” is not a desktop GTX 1060. Many laptops also switch to integrated graphics on battery, so a game that runs fine plugged in can stutter unplugged. Check Windows’ graphics settings and your GPU vendor’s control panel if the demo feels inconsistent.
If your laptop has only integrated graphics (Intel Iris Xe, AMD Radeon Graphics, Apple silicon via emulation), the listed minimum is likely out of reach. That is a general hardware statement, not a tested verdict on every machine.
Quick answers
Does this tool know my graphics card?
Not reliably. Browsers can expose a renderer string for privacy-reduced WebGL, and that string is often masked or too generic to compare with a GTX 1060. The checker shows what it sees but marks the GPU as unverified.
Why does it say 8 GB when my PC has 16 GB?
Browsers deliberately cap deviceMemory for fingerprinting reasons. A report of 8 GB means “at least 8”, not “exactly 8”. Check Installed RAM in Windows Settings for the real figure.
Can I trust a “pass” result?
No. It only means the browser-reported OS, memory and CPU threads clear the listed basics. Frame rate, driver stability, thermals and Wallpaper Mode performance still need a real test.
Is there a Mac version?
No Mac version is listed on Steam. The game is Windows-only at the time of checking. A browser check running on a Mac will correctly flag the platform mismatch.
